Battle of Waterloo

The Battle of Waterloo was fought in present-day Belgium between the French army under the command of Napoleon Bonaparte and the two of the armies of the Seventh Coalition Alliance: an English/Allied army under the command of the Duke of Wellington and a Prussian army under the command of Gebhard von Blücher. The battle resulted in the end of Bonaparte's reign and the end of the First French Empire.
