What's coming up in Curse of the Lost Amazon Gold
The more they delve into the jungle, the stranger and darker the mystery becomes
In the 1980s, three different expeditions set out to find the cities of Akakor and Akahim in the Amazon jungle. One by one, they disappeared. For years suspicion has centred around an enigmatic river guide known as Tatunca Nara; the only one who claims to know the route to these long hidden ancient sites. He guided each of the explorers into the jungle but claims to know nothing about what happened to them.
Equipped with the latest technology, and guided by the legend of Akakor, an international team of investigators are following in the footsteps of those missing explorers. They are aiming to solve a dual mystery: firstly, do Akakor and Akahim exist? And secondly, what happened to those explorers who went missing? Irish investigative journalist Paul Connolly will lead the team, which includes American geologist and explorer Dr. Martin Pepper, British survival expert Megan Hine, Brazilian wilderness doctor Dr. Karina Oliani, former FBI Agent Bobby Chacon, and tech expert Brennon Edwards.
Their journey begins deep in the heart of the jungles of Peru, where Akakor is said to be located. They then move the expedition to northern Brazil – the rumoured site of Akahim, and where the explorers went missing.
The more they delve into the jungle, the stranger and darker the mystery becomes. Their search for answers will take them face to face with the only man who may know the truth: the enigmatic river guide Tatunca Nara himself.
