Princess Gisla (Morgane Polanski)

The daughter of Emperor Charles and a beautiful, young woman of considerable courage and resolution. She refuses to leave Paris in its hour of need, and takes a deep, personal interest in the survival and morale of its citizens. She is who persuades the defenders to adopt the Oriflamme, the sacred banner of St. Denis, as their spiritual and national emblem. However, as it was during this age, Gisla struggles to have her voice heard with the men holding power.
