That’s because he is Hollywood’s, if not the world’s, if not the universe’s, finest animated animal voice artiste. You’ve heard him as Santa’s Little Helper on The Simpsons.

As Nibbler on Futurama. As Curious George in the Curious George cartoons. And sundry Scooby-Doos, Smurfs, Transformers, Garfields, Fangfaces, Shmoos and Tiny Toons. In fact if a dog barks in a cartoon, and its not an actual dog, then its probably Frank Welker.
