Bonfire Night
Remember, Remember, the 5th of November...
Every 5th November, people up and down the country celebrate the failure of the Gunpowder Plot by gathering around a bonfire and lighting sparklers. Depending on where you live in the UK, you may eat 'parkin', take part in a barrel race, or burn an effigy of a public figure. Bonfire Night is a special time of the year when friends and families gather together outside and enjoy watching fireworks illuminate the autumn sky. Find out more about the history of Bonfire Night and its various traditions, in our Bonfire Night hub.
